Nobody wants to miss the reception. Here's what we recommend.

Adrienne's personal trick: she skips meat and most dairy while traveling in India.

Questions

FAQ

Can I get a room with two beds at the Hyatt?

Yes. Here's how:

  1. Click this link to book your hotel room.
  2. Choose your dates and number of guests, then tap Find Rooms.
  3. Select 1 King Bed. It's the only option shown.
  4. On the payment page, scroll to the bottom and tap Special requests.
  5. Write that you'd like a room with 2 beds.
Do I need a visa? How do I get one?

Yes, but you don't need it to book your flight. You can apply for an e-visa online and it usually arrives in your inbox within a week. Here’s the official link.

A heads-up: the visa website is clunky and glitchy, so give yourself plenty of time to fill in the forms. Some of the questions are worded in confusing ways, so we highly recommend asking an AI like ChatGPT or Claude to help you figure out what they mean and how to answer. That's what Adrienne did!

  • Once you start an application, save every code and number they give you along the way.
  • If you don't finish your application in one sitting, don't start a new application. Use the code you saved to pick up where you left off. If you can't find the code, look for the spot on the site where you can enter your passport number and get that code again.
  • If your payment doesn't go through the first time, wait a day, then use the code to go back in and try paying again.
Do I have to go to everything?

Nope! The Delhi tour on Jan 9 and the Dilli Haat outing on Jan 10 are extras we've set up just for you. Adrienne won't be on them, so join if they sound fun.

The dinners and parties are the heart of the experience, and we'd love to have you at every one. If you're not planning to be at a particular event, just let us know in our quick form so we can plan accordingly.

When should I fly home?

We recommend booking your international flight out of Delhi for 6 pm or later on Thursday, Jan 14. Our flight from Amritsar lands in Delhi at 2:55 pm, which gives you three relaxed hours at the airport.

Want to take a different flight? Totally fine! Just know that our last shuttle leaves the Radisson Jalandhar in time for the 1:45 pm flight to Delhi (AI 492). If you're on a different flight, you may need to arrange your own ride to Amritsar Airport.

Adrienne & Jyot

Our story so far

Adrienne's India. In 2008, Adrienne came to India for the first time and lived on an ashram. A friend she met there invited her to her cousin's wedding, and from there, she went with the family to the Golden Temple. It was one of the most profound, beautiful experiences of her life.

Jyot's India. Jyot grew up visiting family in India only now and then. During business school, he came back for a wedding and made his own trip to the Golden Temple. It moved him just as deeply.

Then they met. In December 2022, Adrienne made up a love story, just for fun. Three days later, at a New Year's Eve dinner, she met Jyot, who looked just like the guy she'd imagined. They talked about meditation, manifesting and The Great Gatsby until everyone else left, and he kissed her at midnight. In 2024, he proposed in Gramercy Park.

Together, at last. This New Year's Eve, we're getting married in Napa. Then we're heading to India, and to the Golden Temple, together for the first time. It feels like our whole lives have been building toward this trip, and we're so happy to share it with you.
